At The Longholme we know that our team are crucial to the success of our café. Although we’re only a small operation we have exacting standards and like to make sure the customers are being looked after. The ideal candidate for this role will already be someone working in a commercial kitchen for a minimum of two years,
holding at least a level 2 food safety certificate. Eager Juniors will be considered.
In this role of café chef, it will be your duty to maintain a high quality of food standard daily. We operate a simple menu from a small busy kitchen where your attention to detail and ability to clean up after yourself is paramount..
You will work alongside a small team that grows substantially in the summer. Hands-on owners and managers. Junior staff that require guidance, encouragement and a positive introduction to the industry. This role is based on working 5 out of 7 days per week including weekends but not evenings!
This role combines all aspects of the facility with a focus on food and beverage delivery and customer service. Experience of at least 1 year in a similar role is desired from applicants for this position.
The ideal candidate will be available to work 5/7 days a week on a flexible full time working basis, including weekends. Candidates should be interested to start a longer career in the hospitality industry for optimum benefit in this role.
The ideal person for this role should enjoy interacting with customers, work well under pressure and enjoy delivering good service.

No experience is required for these upcoming, limited summer roles,
training will be provided. Interviewing 1st week of March for a March
April start for a seasonal contract. Working at least 1 but Ideally 2 days a week.

Our casual team are the oil in our engine, helping us at the busiest of times and really get the café in full swing. As a casual staff member, you have the flexibility to work on a part time or full time basis, to suit your studies or other commitments. Generally, this role covers 1-3 days a week in high season. If you’re a local student keen to learn more about the industry, this is the perfect role for you!
As a permanent staff member, you will be working in a full-time capacity with the ‘core team’ & the owners. Usually working 5/7 days you may be expected to work in all areas of the business. Our permanent staff work with us closely to improve our service, brainstorm our events ideas and generally make The Longholme a better place to be for everyone, these people are the hospitality managers of the future, with experience and the right attention to detail.
